Time: 5.00pm – 6.30pm (UK time)

Venue: Online

Event Details

We can now say with credibility that we have kept 1.5 degrees alive. But its pulse is weak and it will only survive if we keep our promises and translate commitments into rapid action.

- Alok Sharma, COP26 President

Climate commitments are increasingly affecting how businesses operate, and following COP26, such commitments are likely to increase further. In a panel-moderated discussion including Chris O'Shea, the CEO of Centrica, a major energy company; Professor John Paterson, an expert in corporate governance and energy law at the University of Aberdeen; and Ellen Fraser, energy expert at Baringa, we will explore:

  • Do the new obligations imposed on businesses go too far or not far enough?
  • What support should businesses expect from the Government as they seek to comply?
  • With conflict in the East, is net zero still realistic?

We hope you can join us for this timely event.
