Weekly Update

This week's local elections in the UK have provided a welcome respite from the recent frenetic pace of political events, making it a good week for us to decamp to The Hague, where we were one of the World Justice Project's Co-Producing Partners at this year's World Justice Forum. The Forum is the leading international event for the Rule of Law, convening governmental and non-governmental actors, private sector leaders, and members of the donor community. The theme of this year's Forum was Realizing Justice for All, and focused on what is required in order to bring about the step-change in advancing access to justice that is necessary if that important Sustainable Development Goal is to be achieved by 2030. We organised and contributed to a number of sessions at the Forum, which was timed to fit into a series of events leading up to the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Goal 16 which will take place at the UN in New York in July this year.
